Russell Cox

Russell became interested in the picture framing industry when his family purchased an existing shop and he has been serving as the principal of Artifex since 1979. Russell has always been self-employed, having started his first business at the age of 14. This entrepreneurial spirit has conveyed itself through his vision and motivation as he has shaped Artifex into the flourishing business it is today.

Artifex’s success is largely due to Russell’s hands-on attention to the shop’s daily operations. His open-minded and accessible business philosophy guides the entire Artifex staff. Russell has always recognized the importance of maintaining strong relationships with his customers and he has developed solid associations with local and national art dealers and artists as well. His vitality, combined with his innovative framing talents, have come together to make Artifex a distinctive leader in the design industry.
