We turned a drab hallway into a centerpiece display with – of all things – a corporate timeline. This display focuses on the corporate history of a Credit Union starting with the first hand written balance sheet and ending with their most recent corporate construction.
The request was to build this historical timeline on a 45 foot wall. The first challenge of the project was to create an interesting background for the wall. We designed an grey gradient and then custom printed it on vinyl wallpaper.
Next, milestone plaques and year markers were created on brushed aluminum, and all the pieces float-mounted on the wall, creating nice shadows. The center story ribbon is printed on PVC and incorporates their logo color. Stretching down most of the wall, there is still room for future expansion of the corporate timeline gallery around the corner.
This project shows that corporate history doesn’t have to be boring signage. In fact, it’s an excellent example of how to Artifex can transform signage into art. Artifex Art has an advantage over normal sign shops because our artistic and design abilities allow us to create something that’s truly unique.
