Framing silk scarves takes special care. In this case, our client wanted their Texas-themed Hermès silk scarf that was featured in a Texas Monthly article to be displayed in an acrylic box.

We did not want to use the traditional mounting materials like glue, because that could damage the silk fabric.  Instead, we carefully sewed the silk onto the backing.  In the video, Russell explains more about this process.

The client also had several other requests.  They wanted a copy of the article to be framed for display next to the scarf.  They also wanted an easily accessible storage space for their copy of the magazine.

Artifex met these special requests, including making a clever secret compartment.  Watch the video for more details on that. Also, please give our video a “like” and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
