Sometimes the perfect piece of art is the wrong shape for the space available. In that case you can get creative with the framing making a square into a vertical etc.
In this example the paper art edges are deckled and floated in a vertical frame.
A series of 4 squares are stacked. This technique can be used in either vertical or horizontal format. You could even frame all 4 in the same frame.

Last but not least, exaggerate the matting! This piece has a 14 ½” silk mat with a deep bevel silk wrapped liner. Eye popping design for a big space.
